In this month's issue, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine ran an article written by Senior Editor Tad Simons titled, “No-Kill Bill – A proposed law could save thousands of dogs and cats but animal-control agencies are against it. Why?” Unfortunately, the article gave credence to Animal Ark's misguided opinions of our work and did not provide an accurate understanding of the complexities of Animal Humane Society’s work in historically caring for more than 30,000 animals each year.
Given the passion we all have in doing more for homeless animals we feel it is important that the public know the facts about our work. Misinformation put out about Animal Humane Society, whether intentional or due to a lack of understanding of the realities of our work, often turns people away from our organization which has the greatest ability to re-home homeless animals because of the incredible support we receive from the community.
